Terms & Conditions
(incl. Cancellation Policy)
If Blue Puffin AS ("Blue Puffin," or "we" or "us" or "our") only intervenes in the services of other independent suppliers (e.g. only bus charter, rent-a-car services, hotel accommodations, etc.), Blue Puffin is only responsible for the mediation of these services, but not for the services themselves. In this case, the Terms & Conditions of that supplier apply. If Blue Puffin is the tour operator, the general Terms & Conditions stated herein take effect.
Responsibility
Trip participants are responsible for understanding the conditions implied in the trip itinerary and selecting a trip which is appropriate to their interests and abilities; for bringing appropriate clothing; for following normal standards of personal hygiene in order to lessen risk of traveler's diseases; for following normal social behavior patterns with fellow trip participants; for acting in an appropriate and respectful manner in accordance with the customs of areas visited; for practicing a harmonic interchange with nature; for completing the itinerary as scheduled (or as adjusted on-site by the tour leader as necessary), including being punctual.
Blue Puffin is not responsible for missed parts of the tour or connections, if participants are late or do not show up.
The participants are responsible for fulfilling passport, visa, customs, device, and health regulations. All disadvantages resulting from non-fulfillment of these regulations are the sole responsibility of the participant.
Blue Puffin shall not be held liable for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property, or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, including but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such other provider, and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts, or failures to act, demands, orders, or interposition of any government or any subdivision or agent, thereof, or by acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. The participant waives any claim against Blue Puffin for any such loss, damage, injury, or death.
Blue Puffin only has limited influence on services purchased from other providers.
Terms & Conditions
1. Bases of Rates
All prices and fares are quoted in Norwegian Kroner (NOK). The rates are based on current tariffs and are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. While we will do everything possible to maintain the listed prices, if it is necessary to levy a surcharge we reserve the right to do so and notification will be given at the time of final invoicing.
Pre-payment of 100% of the total cost is required at the time you book.
Reservation or payment of any Blue Puffin tour constitutes your acceptance to our Terms & Conditions.
Our Cancellation Policy:
Up to seven (7) days prior to the departure time of the tour, the participant can cancel his/ her reservation any time and full refund will be given, minus 3% of the amount paid, which will be kept by Blue Puffin to cover the payment transaction costs.
From seven (7) days until 24 hours prior to the departure time: 20% cancellation fee of the total cost apply.
From 24 hours prior to the departure time as well as in case the participant does not show up at the beginning of the tour, no refund will be given.
All North Cape Sightseeing tours are adjusted to cruise ship arrival and departure times; if the ship of the participant is delayed, we adjust the departure time accordingly.
In case the participant's ship cannot make port, we retain 10% of the total tour cost to cover a part of our operational cost. Occasionally, a ship cannot make port due to unfavorable weather in the North. To give you an idea: in our 2018 season this happened twice, in winter 2023 once and in our last seasons (2019 and 2022) this did not happen at all; out of about 100 calls each season.
Blue Puffin has no control over the exchange rate that will be calculated for refunds to credit cards and is not responsible for any loss incurred. Please note that refunds by international money transfers may result in additional costs, such as bank fees. These costs are the responsibility of the participant/ client.
Changes of departure dates are only possible by canceling the reserved services and rebooking afterward.
If the participant does not show up at the beginning of the tour, misses a connection or is held incapable to continue the tour, this counts as a cancellation.
Blue Puffin reserves the right to cancel any trip because of inadequate enrollment that makes the trip economically unfeasible to operate or because of good-faith concerns with respect to the safety, health, or welfare of the participants. If Blue Puffin cancels a tour prior to departure, you will receive a full refund of monies paid to Blue Puffin. If we cancel the trip in progress, you will receive a pro-rated refund based on time and activities not completed on the excursion. We will not be responsible for any refund for any airline and/ or cruise ship costs.
Leaving an excursion in progress, for any reason whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of an excursion.
Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended and advised.

The presented itineraries are subject to modification and change by Blue Puffin without penalty. Every reasonable effort will be made to operate programs as planned, but alterations may still occur after final itineraries are sent. Refunds are not given under such circumstances. Any possible additional expenses for return transfers are the sole responsibility of the trip member.
Because of the fact that hospital facilities for serious problems are often unavailable and evacuation can be prolonged, difficult and expensive, it is that we assume no liability regarding provision of medical care at any time during the trip.
